Polymer clay is a delicate material.  It can break if not cared for correctly.

Be careful when storing your earrings (bottom of your handbag/luggage isn't the best place), using or spraying perfume, wearing them when dealing with chemicals and don't submerge in water. 

If make up transfers to the earrings, use a damp cloth to gently remove the make up.
